About Foam Trays

A heads up for cheap/free craft materials. Polystyrene meat and vege trays you get from the supermarket are a good source of cheap art supply. They give you bulk without the weight in your art and craft projects and are easy to handle.

Preparing Foam Trays
Wash with hot soapy water and dry well.

Using Foam Trays
Easy to transfer design with an old ballpoint pen. Just pop your pattern over the tray and draw over it with the pen.

Easily cut with scissors or craft knife. A hole punch works well too.

Easy to paint.

Work on sheets of newspaper to catch all the little left over bits, so you can scrunch it up and get rid of them. This stuff is NOT good to inhale.

Ok, that out of the way, let's get on with it!

Happy Crafting!
